A reception was held Wednesday evening at the residence of Mrs. J. H. Searing, on Walnut and Poplar streets, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Bundy, whose nuptials occurred Wednesday evening of last week. Between seventy-five and one hundred of their friends were present and extended congratulations. The large and elegant Searing mansion was beautifully decorated and the guests were royally entertained. An elaborate banquet was served and the evening was most thoroughly enjoyed by all present.

Thursday of last week John Leary and Miss Cora J. McGhee stole quietly over to Marion and were tied in the bonds of matrimony. It was quite a surprise to their friends, but all unite in wishing that the choicest blessings of life may fall to their lot.

Fred L. Phelps, son of our photgraphic artist, L. A. Phelps, surprised his father Wednesday by making a call at the parental domicile in company with a bran new wife. Fred is a printer and was employed for two yeras in the office of the Enfield Clarion, at which place he met his fate. Mrs. Phelps' maiden name was Grace Celeste Brockett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brockett, of Enfield. The marriage took place Tuesday evening, January 3, at the home of the bride's parents.

Miss Viola Condiff and Dr. J. J. Rendleman, of Cairo, were married last Monday in Chicago.
